Johnny Lewis should have been a guy who had it all. Still in his 20s, he had a role on a critically acclaimed TV show and dated famous beauties like Katy Perry. Unfortunately, the actor’s life took a dark turn due to drug use, and now Lewis is dead at the age of 28.
On Wednesday, Lewis is believed to have murdered his elderly landlady and killed a cat before throwing himself off the roof of a home in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles. Authorities suspect Lewis was high on PCP or methamphetamine at the time of his death. This shocking end to Lewis’ young life comes after several months of arrests and other brushes with the law. His erratic behavior led to his being dropped from the cast of “Sons of Anarchy” after two seasons.
On his WhoSay blog, the creator of “Sons of Anarchy” Kurt Sutter made this statement: “Not sure if folks know this yet, but johnny lewis (halfsack) died last night… it was a tragic end for an extremely talented guy, who unfortunately had lost his way.”
“I wish i could say that i was shocked by the events last night, but i was not. i am deeply sorry that an innocent life had to be thrown into his destructive path. Yes, it’s (a) day (of) mourning, but it’s also a day of awareness and gratitude. sadly, some of us carry the message by dying.”
