The Los Angeles Times has reported that Bynes’ driver’s license has been suspended by the California DMV, following the filing of a pair of hit-and-run charges earlier in the week.
On Wednesday, a source at the L.A. City Attorney’s office revealed to Entertainment Tonight that the charges were filed in an April case where the starlet crashed into a BMW on the freeway, then fled the scene, and another in August where she rear-ended a car on Ventura Blvd. and again raced away. As if those two weren’t bad enough, Bynes has also been hit with DUI charges after hitting a sheriff’s car in West Hollywood.
This kind of trouble would be a major wake-up call to most people, but Bynes remains blissfully in denial, claiming repeatedly that she’s totally innocent. She even tried to enlist aid from the President of the United States, sending this tweet after being busted for DUI: “Hey @BarackObama… I don’t drink. Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don’t hit and run. The end.”
Sorry, Amanda—he’s a little busy right now. Bynes’ arraignment is scheduled for September 27.
