After a long battle, Usher is awarded primary custody of his two sons.
Usher and Tameka were married back in 2007 and lasted only a couple years in matrimony with Usher saying the marriage was “irretrievably broken.” In their time together they had two sons; 4-year-old Usher Raymond V and 3-year-old Naviyd Ely Raymond.
The two have been in and out of court all summer long with back and forth testimonies turned into an overdramatic soap opera at times. There were claims that Tameka went to his home crazed, others that she had hit the singer. Usher refused to go forth with those accusations because he didn’t want to be known as the man who imprisoned his sons’ mother.
While she’s not in jail, she sure got the short end of the stick when it came to the final ruling set by Fulton County Superior Court Judge Bensonetta Tipton Lane. Usher received primary custody in the joint custody ruling. No visitation terms have come about yet.
The case took a tiny break when Foster’s 11 year son was hospitalized after a jet ski accident and later passed away after being taken off life support.
Usher’s custody will start on September 1st.
