Jennifer Aniston has finally found love seven years after her fairy tale marriage to Brad Pitt ended in heartbreak. This week, the former “Friends” star became engaged to actor Justin Theroux, and her fans couldn’t be happier. Here are a few facts on her fascinating life.
-Aniston was born in Sherman Oaks, CA, to actors John Aniston and Nancy Dow, but spent much of her childhood in New York City.
-Her godfather Telly Savalas was the lollipop-licking detective Lt. Kojak on the hit 1970s TV series.
-After graduating from New York’s Fiorello LaGuardia High School of Music & Art, Aniston worked a variety of jobs like telemarketer, waitress and bike messenger while struggling for her big break.
-In the early 90s, Aniston appeared in a number of failed TV pilots and soon-cancelled series. She became so discouraged that she considered giving up acting.
-All that changed when she was cast in a new NBC sitcom called “Friends.” Aniston would play Rachel Green from 1994-2004. When the show ended its long run, Aniston was one of the highest-paid actresses on TV.
-After romances with Adam Duritz of the band Counting Crows and actor Tate Donovan, Aniston began dating Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt in 1998. They were married in a lavish Malibu ceremony in 2000, but divorced in 2005. Pitt was soon seen with his “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” co-star Angelina Jolie.
-Earlier this year, Aniston and Theroux adopted a black and white pit bull mix puppy they named Sophie. We suppose Sophie will now be a part of their very long life together….
