One of the most hotly anticipated projects of the year is the film adaption of the hit book “50 Shades of Grey,” and several sexy young actresses and actors are being mentioned as possibilities for the lead role.

One contender for the part of Anastasia Steele, a demure college student turned vampy vixen, is Angelina Jolie. While Jolie certainly has the vixen part nailed, she’s about ten years too old to be playing a college student.

More age-appropriate is Emma Stone, but the young star denied being approached about the role. She told Entertainment Weekly, “I haven’t read the book, I haven’t a read a script, nothing. There are so many movies you become attached to when I’ve literally never even received a phone call. It was the same way with ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ – I never even saw a script!”

Other actresses being mentioned for the part are Emma Watson, Katie Cassidy, Lucy Hale and Scarlett Johansson.

For the male lead, Ryan Gosling seems to be the early favorite, but other actors rumored to be considered include Ian Somerhalder, Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer and Zac Efron.

Fans of the book shouldn’t expect any announcements right away, since the producers don’t even have a script yet. But who do you think should take on the lead roles??
