‘Dancing with the Stars’ All-Star Cast Revealed

Dancing With The Stars

Today, ABC unveiled the list of past contestants who will be returning for the 15th cycle of ‘Dancing with the Stars’. The list includes winners, runners-up, and some celebs nobody really wanted to see the first time around.

Here’s the complete list: Kirstie Alley (Season 12, runner-up), Pamela Anderson (Season 12, 6th place), Helio Castroneves (Season 5, winner), Joey Fatone (Season 4, runner-up), Shawn Johnson (Season 8, winner), Drew Lachey (Season 2, winner), Gilles Marini (Season 8, runner-up), Kelly Monaco (Season 1, winner), Apolo Anton Ohno (Season 4, winner), Bristol Palin (Season 11, third place), Melissa Rycroft (Season 8, third place) and Emmitt Smith (Season 3, winner).

Viewers of the show will have the chance to choose the 13th contestant from this group of alums: Sabrina Bryan (Season 5, 7th place), Carson Kressley (Season 13, 8th place) and Kyle Massey (Season 11, runner-up).

As longtime fans of the show, we’re not too impressed with this lineup. Most people would have probably loved to see Mario Lopez and JR Martinez back for another run. And do we really need to see Bristol Palin clomping her way through another season? On the bright side, we don’t have to see Cloris Leachman or Kate Gosselin again.

As for Castroneves and Ohno, how well will they fare without their mutual partner Julianne Hough, who has departed “DWTS” for a career in movies. Also, both Drew Lachey and Emmitt Smith won with the help of partner Cheryl Burke, and obviously she can’t be partnered with both.

This cast really doesn’t seem very “all-star”, but we’ll see what happens. The professional dance partners for the cast will be announced August 13th on “Good Morning America”.
