Rihanna picks and chooses which press she will tell all to….
After all she’s been through in her 24 years, it would be understandable if pop singer Rihanna refused to discuss her love life, but she did open up a bit for Harper’s Bazaar magazine. In her cover story for the August issue, Rihanna gave this bit of insight:
“[I’m] rebellious through my music, through my fashion, tattoos, and my hair. I have been conservative in my love life. … It’s pretty much nonexistent. If I come across someone who I find really cool, I’ll hang out. But the minute I find that we’re getting too close I just — I don’t let people in.”
Without mentioning any names—like her ex Chris Brown, who beat her up in 2009—Rihanna talked about being hurt in the past. “When I was in love, I fell so hard. I was really, really, really in love. The way it made me feel was priceless. And in a blink of an eye, my whole life changed. Everything that I knew was different. I never thought I’d feel that pain in my life. I’m afraid of feeling that again.”
Well, it’s certainly understandable that she’d be fearful of getting hurt again. Rihanna is also taking steps not to get cheated in her business affairs.
The “U da one” singer has filed a lawsuit against her former accountants claiming their mismanagement has cost her millions from her Last Girl on Earth tour back in 2010. The suit charges that the firm of Berdon LLP took advantage of the young singer’s naïveté when she was a teenager beginning her career, saying “because she was a minor with no knowledge of the music industry or financial matters generally, Fenty (Rihanna) placed Berdon in a position of trust and loyalty.”
Smart girl, taking care of this now while she still has money!
