Bobby Brown Weds Alicia Etheridge in Hawaii

Bobby Brown Gets Married

Bobby Brown has taken a second walk down the aisle, just four months after the death of his ex-wife Whitney Houston. Brown tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Alicia Etheridge on Monday in Hawaii.

Brown’s son, Bobby Jr., shot this photo of the event and posted it to his Instagram. In the photo, Brown is holding the couple’s three-year-old son Cassius who is wearing a red suit just like his daddy’s.

An extended honeymoon will have to come later, since Brown is currently on tour with the group that made him famous, New Edition. The group played Honolulu Sunday night and has a gig in Oakland June 23rd.

The couple began dating soon after Brown’s very public divorce from Houston, and he proposed to Etheridge back in 2010 onstage during a sold-out New Edition concert in Jacksonville, Fla.

Present at the nuptials were Brown’s older kids Landon, 23, La’Princia, 22, and Bobby Jr., 19. Conspicuously absent was Brown and Houston’s 19-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina. The two have been estranged for some time now.

While there will no doubt be friends and family eager to wish the couple happiness, this is not going to go over well with Houston’s fans, who have always blamed Brown for her drug addiction. They’re likely to think that it’s too soon after Houston’s death, even though the couple had been divorced for several years.

Hopefully, the now 43-year-old Brown has matured enough to make a go of marriage this time around.
