Roni Reports…

Britney Spears and Demi Lovato’s First Day on The X-Factor

Another Idol winner was crowned with record setting votes, but that isn’t phasing The X-Factor crew as they set out for another season with some new faces…two Disney alumni who took on and won the pop realm, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato. The pair, along with LA Reid and Simon Cowell were in Austin this week to kick things off for the first round of auditions.

All four judges showed up separately in Austin to a crowd of about 100 people eager to see the stars. Britney came pretty in (neon) pink with her fiancé Jason Trawick, and actually signed some autographs. Demi was also pleased with the press and commented, “You’re much nicer than they are in L.A.” Aw, that hurts Demi, LA’s not that bad.

TMZ got some audio from the auditions, and Britney and Demi are already disagreeing. After the first hopeful, Demi said the contestant needed to find what made them “special.” Britney on the other hand said the person could be “bigger than the next Justin Beiber.” Dear Britney, was that a compliment? Bigger than the next Justin implies this person’s not good enough to be the actual next Beiber. Any who, it appears The X-Factor may do a bit better in the ratings with their high level judges’ panel.

Keeping with panel discussion, the UK’s X-Factor is getting some pretty awesome names for their season as well, including Spice Girls Geri “Ginger” Halliwell and Mel “Scary” B. But it’s the mention of X-Factor winner Leona Lewis that has people perking up. She’s going to guest judge, but might be returning full time to replace Kelly Rowland. Other names tossed in the hat for a permanent residency on the panel include Rita Ora as well.

Leona Lewis and that chick from the Elton John Pepsi commercial may be the only people we ever know to come out of that show, but one thing’s for sure, they sure do get big names to come and judge.

About sunnymenagerie

Socially awkward in most situations most 25 years olds would call easy, that’s me. TV is my soul mate, Music is my mistress and writing is my best friend. Without those three things, I’d be in an insane asylum calling myself Rosa Parks, refusing to sit in the back of the so called bus. I know more about pop culture and celebrities than I do about my family history, and I’d like to keep it that way. Words I live by: We´re all tiny books in one big compilation called life. Some of us will wait for what seems like forever for our climactic part to come. Others will have a romance novel their entire life. Or maybe one filled with just adventure. Or one that is a poetic tragedy. Then, there are those that will have best sellers. You know, the ones that everyone wants to read and base their versions on? Don´t forget the little paperbacks sold at the carwash that only a select few will ever lay eyes on. We´re all born with the power to either take what was written for us or choose our own adventures.
