It’d be a weird day if Lady Gaga wasn’t making headlines about something…and today it’s all because she’s animated, rainbow bright and bringing in the dough.
Gaga will help The Simpsons close out their 23rd season on May 20th with an all Gaga inspired episode, appropriately titled “Lisa Goes Gaga.” The season finale will highlight the spectacles of her live performances, her “monsters”, and of course, that infamous meat dress.
She’s not only making headway on her home turf, but across the sea as well. After landing at Narita Airport in Japan, cameras were in full force to catch a glimpse of the “Born This Way” darling. Some are saying she seemed a bit tame with just a rainbow wig, black studded dress and high rise heels. Well considering what she’s usually in, we’ll agree. Reports are saying Gaga may actually care what people think and is toning her wardrobe down due to recent protest threats made towards her regarding an Indonesia concert in June.
Her dressing antics may cause people to talk (good or bad), but who knew everything associated with Gaga, and we mean everything, would be looked at as valuable. On Monday someone in Japan paid $75K for a teacup she used during a press conference 3 months after the country’s horrific Tsunami. The teacup sports Gaga’s lipstick print as well as “We pray for Japan” in Japanese. All proceeds to go to a good cause though, helping Japanese youth come to the US to study art. Now this doesn’t make that girl who bought Justin Timberlake’s french toast seem so crazy, does it?
