NFL great Deion Sanders was allegedly attacked today in Dallas by his estranged wife, Pilar Sanders.
Pilar and a friend supposedly jumped Deion in his home this afternoon in front of their sons. The aftermath of the situation was posted on Twitter by Sanders himself soon after. His first tweet read, “Pray for me and my kids now! They just witnessed their mother and a friend jump me in my room. She’s going to jail n I’m pressing charges!”
The police arrived and Sanders felt the need to post a picture of his family filling out the police reports. The caption of the Kodak moment read, “filling out police reports now! Thank God for this platform to issue the Truth.”
Yes, thank God for social media. If only Twitter had been around back in the day. Imagine the Native American’s tweets on that first Thanksgiving, or Buzz Aldrin’s Twitpic of those first steps with the caption,“OMG! #firststep.”
The tweeting seems ironic since Pilar just filed suit against Sanders and his daughter last month for $200 Million due to slanderous comments made over Twitter. The comment said Pilar was a “gold digger.”
In this developing story, TMZ spoke with Sanders who told them “Pilar was transported to the hospital after claiming she needed medical attention.” Pilar has since been arrested and booked for “assault family violence”.
If this goes to trial, it’ll be interesting to see if Deion sneaks his phone in to live tweet the event.
